John 3:36, ESV: Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

John 3:16 says ‘For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life’ this is the overall theme of what we as Christians believe.  However, John 3:36 is also critical since it emphasizes that there are only two options: acknowledge Jesus and you’ll have “eternal life,” and find forgiveness for sin; refuse to believe in Him and you’ll be judged. There is no place for neutrality, and no one is immune.

Salvation through Jesus Christ is not an upgrade, it’s a rescue from disaster”.  The only way to salvation is through Jesus, and Jesus alone and ignoring it means facing the wrath of God.

This means that rejection of Jesus is an intentional act. The original Greek word, apeithōn, means “rejecting belief,” “refusing obedience,” or “refusing to be convinced.”  God wants to rescue us all from sin.

God makes Himself visible enough to inspire people to seek Him and hidden enough that those who want to make excuses can do so. In the end, those who reject him, will face his wrath –  total separation from God are those who chose to be separated from Him.
